1st Thursday of the Month @ 8pm Charity Quiz Night:
4th June - We are proud to be raising funds for Alzheimer's Society. Alzheimer's Society is a leading UK charity dedicated to supporting people affected by dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. The organisation provides advice, care, and emotional support to individuals and families, while also funding research to improve treatment and find a cure. Through campaigns and community services, Alzheimer’s Society works to raise awareness and help people live better with dementia.
£3 per person minimum donation (cash only) booking is essential.
2nd Thursday of the Month from 5pm - Open Mic Night
Thursday 11th June the wonderful Mat roberts will be hosting an open mic nigh from 7.30-9.30. Whether you’re a singer, comedian, musician, or just fancy giving something new a go, we’d love to see you take the stage. No need to book just turn up.
3rd Thursday of the month from 5pm - Around The World Food Specials
Thursday 18th June we’ll be bringing exciting international flavours to The George, with a brand-new destination each time. This month, we’re heading to Greece!
Expect mediterranean flavours and lots of favourites with our Greek evening.
Tables are expected to fill quickly, so be sure to book yours now—we promise you won’t be disappointed! Our menu is available to view on Socials.
Live Music Fridays
Join us on the last Friday of every month for an evening of live music in our covered courtyard, from 7:30pm to 9:30pm. It’s the perfect setting to relax with great food, drinks, and fantastic local talent in a cosy, atmospheric space—whatever the weather.
Whether you’re joining us for dinner or just stopping by for a drink, it’s the ideal way to round off the month.

Pre-order forms for larger parties
Knowing your orders ahead of time helps us ensure your larger celebrations run smoothly and reduce waste. We require pre-order for tables of eight or more, two weeks in advance of your booking.

Miscellaneous
We love dogs!
The furry members of your family are very welcome to join you for lunch, dinner or drinks in our pub and covered courtyard. If you’re dining inside, please make us aware in advance by booking through the app, and ensure you click 'Conservatory' or 'Courtyard'. We’ll make sure you’re seated somewhere more dog friendly and have the treats ready.
Please note our seven en-suite rooms remain dog free.

Disability access
We invite our guests to discuss their specific needs in advance of their visit in order to give us the possibility to assist and establish whether our property will be suitable for their needs.
Parking
We have a large carpark, you are welcome to leave your car in our car park, subject to availability. Cars and their contents are parked entirely at the car owners’ risk.
Smoking
The George is a strictly non-smoking and non-vaping establishment. Smoking or vaping is prohibited anywhere in the buildings (The George pub and rooms) and courtyard. Should you smoke in your room our fire system will trigger and we will charge you £150 to your card for having to undertake a deep clean of your room.
